As a result of the imminent accession to the Madrid system for the International Registration of Trademarks, and in order to adapt the procedures of trademark registrations between national applications and designations received through the Madrid Protocol, the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI/BR) submitted on 03.Jun.2019 four Resolutions for Public Consultation.
The Resolutions refer to: trademark registration in a multiclass system, division of trademark applications and registrations, trademark registration under co-ownership system and, finally, trademark registration under the Madrid Protocol.
After the period for consultation, the INPI/BR will present the proposals received, the responses to the contributions and the final text of the Resolutions.
