On 04.Apr.2019 the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies voted and approved the Bill PDC No. 860/2017 that provides for the accession of Brazil to the Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement concerning the International Registration of Marks.
The Madrid System enables to protect a mark in more than 100 countries by means of a single international registration, in cooperation with the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI/BR). The Bill will be subject to a new vote by the Brazilian Federal Senate.
